Dibrugarh, 5th June 2025:
The Dibrugarh Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) marked World Environment Day and World Bicycle Day with a series of impactful activities, conducted under the banner of ICAI Sustainability Month – June 2025. These initiatives reflect the core of ICAI’s 5Ps vision — Planet, People, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnerships.
The morning began with an enthusiastic Cycle Rally at 6:30 AM, starting from the Branch premises and moving towards Chowkidingee field. This was followed by a walkathon, symbolizing the branch’s push toward eco-friendly transportation, healthy living, and raising awareness about sustainable practices.
At 7:30 AM, a Sapling Plantation Drive was conducted at Marwari Hindi High School, Dibrugarh, where members and CA students came together to plant native trees. This hands-on contribution to increasing green cover emphasized the importance of environmental restoration and community participation.
To conclude the celebration, an interactive networking session was held, encouraging open conversations among members, students, and branch leaders. The event served as a platform to exchange thoughts on sustainability, responsibility, and the role of professionals in building a greener tomorrow.
On this occasion, CA. Roshan Agarwal, Chairman of the Dibrugarh Branch, shared a powerful message:
“These observances are not just symbolic—they are a reminder of the power of collective action. As members of a profession rooted in integrity and accountability, it is our duty to lead with awareness, responsibility, and sustainability at heart. By embracing simple actions like cycling and planting trees, we take meaningful steps toward a greener and healthier tomorrow.”
The Dibrugarh Branch expresses heartfelt gratitude to all participants whose energy and involvement made this celebration a success. Events like these reinforce ICAI’s ongoing dedication to sustainability, community welfare, and conscious nation-building.
